AU Bank ZERO Balance Saving Account with UPI, retail and Net Banking without Debit Card
Please find process for it below:
1. Apply a degital zero balance saving account through au0101 application.
2. Do remember to uncheck debit card option that has annual fees ₹177.
3. You can either check or uncheck free 25 leaflet cheque book.
4. After filling all required details do vkyc through video call.
5. Once account is activated open au1010 application and do video banking 》services》other. Then type in problem bos "Netbanking, retail transactions access without debit card"
6. Initiate video banking call.
7. Now video banking agent will provide you an application form. Just print and fill or you can manually write on a paper. Do not sign it you have to sign it online in video banking call.
8. You have option to give one of verification document like voter id or driving licence photo and three more.
9. Done !!

I just opened a platinum account because it was giving upto 1% cashback upto 100 rs per month. also in all accounts they are giving 7.25% interest paid monthly.
To my surprise, they take 25000 rs initially before opening the account which can also be paid using rupay cards on google pay etc. so i got 25000 directly from rupay card to bank which is a reward for me initially.
25k is MAB or initial funding after that zero balance?

If yes, can we switch the home branch after account opening?
I am assigned a branch near my location. But specific to your question I was told by video kyc agent that AU do not have a home branch constraints as user can go to any branch and they will help. They have a video banking system and belive me i submitted an application via video banking on sunday and it was resolved.
