After recent Rupay offer extension announcement I am planning to open AU digital savings account today.

Just have few doubts.

Does Rupay Friday offer works on LPG cylinder booking?

Does Rupay virtual card gets generated instantly or within 1 day. So, if I will open account today, then probably physical card will be delivered by next week. Till then will it be possible to see the card number, expiry & cvv in the AU app so that I can utilize it on the coming Friday or will I have to wait for the physical card delivery only then I could know card details.

Saw a lot of posts here on DD regarding devaluation or changes in AU, most of them looked like they are for CC. But wanna confirm if there are any new charges/changes for the AU digital account or not, I hope it is still zero balance account without any yearly charges for SMS or anything (hidden charges).

You will have to wait for physical card delivery for activation although virtual card is generated I could not activate the card as you need the whole debit card number for activation

There are sms charges 15rs/quater

There are some SMS charges and then there are some debit card charges. Debit card charges may increase any time. Most bank have already increased the charges for RuPay Platinum DC. Zero balance digital account for now. That might change after a few years, like what happened with DBS. All good things will come to an end at some point.

Can't it be turned off? As I remember as per RBI OTP and transactional SMS are mandatory and free. Apart from that other type to SMS like balance check, credit sms are under value added service and chargeable, but they can turned off in case of many banks, isn't this applies to AU

How good is AU's zero balance savings account?

I'm thinking to open one in the hope I may get their CC pre-approved. I'll benefit from RuPay Platinum DC as well.

As of now Au's digital savings account is one of those accounts which you don't regret after account opening. Downtimes are pre informed, interest rates are good, customer care is fine. Overall good package for 180 per year.
