When there can be film boycott calls in India for actions taken by someone years ago, whats so surprising about this attack. Religious fanatics and blind supporters are everywhere.Â

I was in school in 1988 when Satanic Verses was released. First there was a call for boycott. Then there was an appeal to the Govt to ban the book. then there was a death threat. After more than 3 decades, it has reached the stage of murderous attack.
Same thing is happening again with the calls for boycott of persons and movies. Who knows what this will end up in 2 decades time.
Lighting a fire is in your hands. But once the fire is big enough, no one can control it, the fire takes its own course and burns everything in its path.Â
Occupied by TV nonsense and Twitter nuisance, people don't even think a day ahead, you are talking about 20 years from now.
From the way things are moving, i feel 20 years from now, there would be less harmony, more discord, our kids would be in a less safer planet.
And the death threat to Kannada writer Kumvee and 61 others last month must have been issued from that same "single source"

I still remember the incident of taslima man handled badly at hyderabad press club. No one uttered a single word there, everyone ran for their life including me.😄
After two days once everyone reached to their safest places, some mustered courage and condemned the act. Over.
There was no boycotting of movies or hatred at that time. But over a period of time may be people got courageous enough atleast to raise voices now.
There was not even single love making statement that time only the soft tragets then were able to take it up to some extent and withdrawn later because they could not bear daily threatening.Â
Things now changed and lessons learnt from above and scene reversed.Â
History will repeat for every 100 years.
I may witness part of miseries in my lifetime but history will store it.
And the same day, I see a news article related to arrest of a terrorist from UP. Things are not looking good...
