Havent been using the ace card much since getting the SBI Cashback card few months back. Anniversary was coming up and had to pay yearly charges, so sent email to axis support and they closed without even trying to do retention. I guess with so many cards in their portfolio, they dont have much time to call people to stay. They would rather spend time processing fresh new applications.

I won't mind paying 500 for this gem card. Maybe drop them mail to re issue
Good riddance bhai. 🙂🙏
are they approving new ACE applications?
is it worth to get it, I already have SBI Cashback card?

If you get banner on your google pay, you can apply. It is worth for 2% offline transactions if you have more of them
590 is not a big amount to pay for this card.
Axis is better than SBI, u should have retained Ace card, SBI may take U turn any day
Happened with me too, closed freecharge plus card without retention
It's a very good card if you can afford the renewal fee, I don't know but I avoided to take a SBI Cashback CC due to Ace.

Yes.. offline 2% its good. But I have other cards which can cover that.. Even with 1% offline, SBI Cashback covers more than that online.
Considering my spend is majorly online:
I'm also planning to do the same
i want to thank you for closing your axis ace card & giving an opportunity to fellow dimers to loot more.

Any prizes? I gave away the oppurtunity of owning an ace too.
Had seen an ace in my axis app.
Even offline purchases nowadays is so miniscule, probably a LTF axis FK will trump over a paid Ace. All online txns are handled currently by sbi cashback, 5% till it gives. Luckily a LTF Infinia gives 3.3% on offline purchases, don't bother much with 2%.
Well played @akki4554 . Maybe SBI will devalue in future, same what axis has been doing.. so can't hold an paid card thinking that it might come to mighty use 1 year latter.

For genuine users ace is good only if paying at least 4-5k electricity bill every month on an avg. For non-genuine users paying 30-40k commercial electricity bills every month at even 2% discount it is even better than ltf Infinia.

I pay bills via amazon (even electricity).
Sbi cb card (7%)
Infinia (15%, after processing fees, I do use my points on 1=1 values)
As long as any of the above lasts, not sure why I would have used Ace for electricity.
As you said maybe good for commercial usages. Good for them.

Some will now say you can sell Amazon GC at 2% and then use ace for 5% so 3% benefit still.
Anyways , Ace is good when you don't want to preload Amazon GC constantly before hand and just pay it directly, ease of use basically

I still remember infinia/ dcb used to give 33% on amazon. This 5-7% will also go away.
But whatever gives the best we should try to keep, not what might give best in future. Will try for ace in future, if it becomes the best after sbi/ hdfc cards gets devalued. Even the lowly millennia hdfc CC (which is Ltf for most users) keeps giving 5% steadily on all amazon txns (bill pays included).
Now if ace was given LTF, we should hop on the offer to be future proof. Sadly not yet so.
Seinfeld wrote:I have no hopes of getting any new sbi card because of my insistence on not doing any kyc based on aadhaar not to mention sbi card has proved itself to be even worse than axis support & that's saying something. Millennia is indeed as good as ace for paying electricity bills currently but again that is a loophole. Ace main point since the beginning is 5% cb on bill payments via google pay so it is most likely this feature will never go away even if some limit is placed on max cb(which should be fine for any genuine user). I also don't expect ace to be given as ltf as long as 5% cb is unlimited.
