Mumbai: Moving towards subscription-based accounts, Axis Bank on Tuesday launched a paid savings account where the customer will not be charged for many services and will not be required to maintain a minimum balance.Customers will be charged Rs 150 per month or the discounted Rs 1,650 per year for what has been christened as 'Infinity Savings Account' by the third largest private sector lender.
At present, a majority of the banks insist on a minimum balance for having a savings account, and charge holders a fee whenever the balance drops below the threshold.

For a saving account - waiver of all domestic banking charges by paying an annual fee of INR 1650 ?!?!

If you hold a savings bank account (not for business/commercial purposes) where your annual banking charges are INR 1650 or above, the first thing you need to do is - change your bank! 😂

Add GST and annual charge becomes about 1950

"Majority of banks insist on minimum balance" lol.

They think their services are so exceptional that people are ready to pay 150 rs per month. People don't even pay 150 for Netflix.

Benevolent Benevolent

if they add some kind of special benefits like extra cashback on all spends then may be it make sense.

But with this foolish plan if they think they will get a single customer then I highly doubt it

They are lot of better options these days, looks like they have never been out of they branches and may be all the employees are old age people.
