[Query] Axis Bank Pre-approved Credit Card - Card Dispatch Process

I was trying to apply for Axis Bank pre-approved credit card for a different address but it wasn't letting me do that, contacted customer support and they told me to get the address changed by visiting any branch. Upon visiting the branch, they denied changing the communication address on the grounds of producing electricity bill or even Index 2 of property's agreement.
So, I was advised by them only to take the pre-approved credit card on the address mentioned, deny delivery at the time of taking the card ... it will be returned back to source and after this, I can request the card to be delivered at nearest bank branch. Is this a feasible method? If not, what can be done?

UPDATE :
I had changed communication address (from Patna to Pune) the day after I had applied for pre-approved Axis Bank CC. So, after changing the communication address, I immediately called up customer care and asked them where will the credit card be sent since I changed the address after applying to which he replied that it will be sent to communication address updated.
But, when I received tracking number of courier, it was tagged to previous communication address. So, I asked them to block the card and send replacement card to current communication address. I've received the active credit card and activated it, started using it as well.
What happened with the previous card was, delivery was attempted at home, Blue Dart marked it as "consignee out of station" and the package was routed to my office address in Pune. The package is at the reception of my office, will go and collect it, then destroy the card and throw it away.

Why don't you change communication address with Aadhaar OTP. (Aadhaar address and communication address need not be same ). It changes instantly online.
After that apply for pre approved card.
