Axis Zero balance account To -43000

Today i have opened axis mobile app after long time..shocked to see that -43000 Balance..
Its ASAP Zero balance account..Not using this account from 1year.. can’t understand how can the charges be that much high for a zero balance account..
i already have hdfc account with -25k ..now this zero balance account gone to -43k.

They will try to deduct emi 4 -5 times
They deducted 500-1000 every time
Nearly 3-4k bounce charge Per month
No mutual fund or loan..

Debit card charges can’t be that much high

Consent is not required for such operations, a bank has all rights to convert/limit any acc as per their discretion at any time. Only thing they are required to do is intimate about the same to customer via sms or email(even customer not checking their sms/email is also irrelevant).

Take a screenshot of your negative balances and lodge a complaint to RBI.

Banks close non operational bank account for 6 months. HDFC closed my account which has negative balance.
can you open new account in hdfc without paying old dues since account is closed ?

please check statement, and you may see what charges they are adding up to make this much negative.
Either raise a complaint with bank, then with ombudsman, or with RBI.. as few suggested..
They will not mention anything in statement

Dont worry, Just take a RBI circular prinout and put it in Bank Manager table. Rest they will take care.
Stop using that account (no transactions) and the account will be dormant and be closed automatically later.
I am thinking to complain with rbi for negative balance.
Complaing for first time
So dimers please help with matter and sentence to include in subject
you can’t directly complaint to RBI, first write to branch or customer care, tell them you want to close your account and you will not pay any penny for that. If account has not been used for more than Two years it becomes dormant. Show them the circular. Even if they offer some discount or like 60-70% wave off. Tell them you will not pay anything, since account is dormamt, it is incurring charges at bank end to maintain it so tell them to close it . After some time contact the Banking Ombudsman, and pretty sure it will get solved. Otherwise RBI after 30 days from unsatisfactory response from Banking Ombudsman.
