You can go with Samsung M31 or honor 9x pro if budget can go upto 15-16k. They are very good mobiles considering future updates. Will easily last more than 2 years.

Atleast I started from 10k and have reached to 16k now … With suggestion I am sure to beat 20k soon ..

I’m also confused.

Confused between Redmi 9 Pro , Samsung m31, Real Me 6. Also Real me Narzo which they recently introduced. New honor device doesn’t have play store so I’m not thinking of that.

I want for 2-3 years, with good camera and processor.
Points which make me confuse.
RealMe UI, I’m not familiar with that.
Redmi – I guess it have Ads which I don’t want.
Can anybody help me with above points.

If its a secondary phone, why not M21? everything is same except camera and that also is not bad.

My phone broke down, I am now fed up of searching mobiles & finally I decided to buy Honor 20 which is available in flipkart and amazon currently wanted to buy Honor view 20 but oos in both sites. All new phones comes with some shortcomings by their company to make different-2 variant now a days.

Go for Samsung A50 its good..u can find a good deal offline or buy M30s from online….don’t go for Mi vivo oppo n all

Except deep blacks advantage of AMOLED, Everything is good about Redmi note 9 pro max and Poco X2. Only advantage of Redmi note 9 pro max over Poco X2 is Dedicated MicoSD slot and better battery backup. Rest is all +-5 to10%.

I am looking for a phone under 17K budget for my wife. Needed features – Good camera, good battery backup, less bulky. Suggestions pls.

Finally went ahead and ordered a Samsung M21. Here are the other models I considered and who I opted for M21

RealMe 6 and Poco X2 – base variant not available since many days
Redmi Note 9 Pro – tried in yesterday’s sale and base variant was not sold

Why M21
Screen – undoubtedly the best in the price range
Price – Rs. 12000 after 5% ICICI Amazon Pay card cash back making it cheapest in this segment of phones
Battery life – the best
Camera – reviews say best of lot in terms of post processing for skin tones, colour accuracy and dynamic range. I am not a big fan of mid-range devices for cameras though.
OneUI – Having used OneUI 2.0 on y S10 previously I would rate it miles ahead of MiUI and Realme’s UI (not sure of the name). Also, though I got used to MIUI, I am fed up of ads after I play videos in gallery and random stutters while using the phone.

Compromises with M21
Processor – though it handles even games like PubG decently well the exynos 9611 chipset still is no match the likes of SD720G. For my usage this felt irrelevant so didn’t bother much
Build – the achilles heal of the phone. In a way the polycarbonate body makes it light in weight but the phone looks hilarious and dated from back. Got to accept this and move on considering we anyways use a case on back. Also, the super glossy polycarbonate back is fingerprint magnet and attracts micro scratches easily when used naked.

My usage on a day to day basis is just Gmail, Whatsapp, telegram, some browsing and ludo king with cousins in the night. Galaxy M21 seemed to be the best fit as screen was primary criteria to finalise the phone.

Hope it helps others who are in confusion.

Thanks for your time and help. I finally went for a device other than Poco X2 as it was never coming back in stock. Looks like the lockdown took a toll on manufacturing process as I see RealMe 6 and even redmi note 9 pro/pro max to have similar supply issues.

I would say go for M21, Reasons as follows
1. Hands down Best display under 20k, Amoled too. If u getting amoled in this budget why will u go LCD?. Also, Hdr displays will work only where its supported while amoled is always there, and also consumes lesser batt
2. 6k mah batt- once u start using 5k+ batts u simply cant go back. Pls note we never really use 100% we will charge around15% till maybe 90%, so from those 4kmah phones u r really getting only 3kmah, add degradation now u get even less. Even if 6k batt degrades u will stll be left with lot of juice that can go on for 3 yrs.
3. Android 10 out of box – Phones with 10 out of box have to mandatorily support project mainline and all. Seeing that m30 came on 8 and got 9 and 10, we can expect atleast 11 and probably 12 for M21.
4. No crap chinese Bloated spyware OS
5. Longevity and service – Again everyone knows, cheap ass China crap lasts 1 yrs, and starts developing issues.
6. Brand value much better resale and exchange value

The one thing u r constantly gonna be using is the screen and hence its the most important component
Why not M31? – I believe except camera everything is the same, hence i feel m21 is better bang for buck
