Dunno about other banks or higher hdfc cards...

Buy vouchers online. Check carefully whether the voucher is for gold or diamond or gold coin and offline or online acceptable. Most CC won't give reward points for gold purchase.
You should atleast mention which city and what stores are there for meaningful suggestions. In Bangalore, I find tanishq is the best. Unmatched finishing and making but making charges and gold charges are expensive. Malabar is very good in terms of collections and can bargain on making charges.

I would suggest using tata neu infinity and try to buy from tanishq. I got 5% neucoins on total bill amount. Also for old gold exchange try tanishq or equivalent big store which has computerized machine for inspecting gold quality ie karat.

SBI credit card is the best during Dhanteras and Akshay Tritiya. This year they provided 5% upto 2500 cashback for Reliance jewels and flat Rs 4000 cashback for orders above 80000 in Tanishq. Their brand list is exhaustive when you search for offers in big cities.
I asked in malabar. For this scheme, nd 2 split, they said they don't accept amex
Mostly reward & cash back offer are not on jewellery & gift cards.
Try to get offer via paytm gift card.. They mostly work in offline store. I tried on kalyan, tanishq couples of time.

Which store and location?? Usually all big stores will allow, just request. I have split it at Malabar, joyallukas, tanishq multiple txns .
They just want money to be paid.
I have tried in multiple locations both in tier 1 and tier 3 cities.
