BJP breaks its silence, backs Padmavati stir

Several BJP leaders have opposed release of the film claiming that Padmavati was being portrayed in poor light and any association with Khilji was unacceptable.
Highways minister Nitin Gadkari said, people have the right to be offended, filmmakers should not distort history and should maintain sensitivity.
