BSNL has been allotted fresh Pan India liberalised spectrum and an additional block of 5 MHz in the 2100 MHz band in 20 telecom circles by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT).
earlier 5mhz in 2100mhz was used for 3g and and at few places they are using for 4g instead of 3g. with this extra 5mhz they can have both 3g and 4g or more bandwidth for 4g.

Once, while at some BSNL office, i asked some staffers about when/ how soon are the 4G signals coming to urban areas (besides the rural locations, where they went straight to 4G.. from 2G) ..one of them point blank gave a curt reply➡ you’d have to go ask ‘them’ about it⬅
and upon asking, her clarification for ‘unko poocho’/ ‘ask them’ was about those… who put a freeze on tendering or want to disallow hardware vendors from China.
Within seconds of saying that, she muttered something under her mask but it was inaudible to me. (mask.. yes it was in July end or August 2020).

Will switch to BSNL after expiry of JIO Plan. Jio speed is shit in evening, night. Just 50 KBps
BSNL is best in 3G. Getting around 1mbps in IDM.
While JIO 4G giving 200/300kbps.
Though sometime BSNL give error to connect to internet but within few minutes problem gets resolved.
Require distance between two 4G tower distance is less than what require by 3G.
so BSNL will require to work harder to give seamless connectivity.
BSNL pan India 4G… probably when Jio start doing 5G.😂
I am expecting Jio to get most spectrum in March Auction..they might get 700Mhz and do 5G on that

Vi is promoting postpaid plans 699 & 1099 as UL.
I read TnC it says 150GB/month
But some people are claiming its TRULY UL on many forums. Is it so?

I have used 1098/1099 TrueUL plan with BSNL 3G for a while but discontinued it after getting a fiber connection (Its been an year)
Opted for a base plan to keep the sim active and stopped following BSNL 3G/4G plans ever since
yeah looks like that only. I am getting around 6 to 8 mbps on bsnl 4g. Also their plans are much better compared to jio. 70gb for 251 and 5gb per day 84 days for 599. Switched to bsnl from jio for last one month. So far good
In 2017 my father’s number got a message to upgrade to 4G sim to enjoy high speeds. Asked for sim at Telephone Exchange at Tier 2 city of AP, they replied that No sims available with them. I 2019 again asked for 4G sim at Telephone Exchange in Hyderabad, got same answer, No sims available now, please try somewhere else. With this speed of distribution, by the time BSNL launches 4G pan India, world mobile comm will be 3 or 4 generations ahead.
Same situation continuing now in AP.
Retailers are asking to go to exchange where 90% took VRS and left. GOD also don’t know when the remaining 10% come & go.
Bsnl /mtnl 3g have good netwrok where it work its 12 mbps on 3g which is almost eq to average 4g in india
Did the govt gave spectrum for free to BSNL🤔
More tax payer money going down the drain for BSNL.
