Hello Everyone, So I wanted to know if someone has tried this already.

I see ads on OLX where the seller says the item is unused with bill from Amazon or flipkart.

One can easily set a business this way. We come across lot of deals and loots every week and months. If we buy these and relist them unused and unopened on OLX or quickr with slightly lower price then the current price, I am sure we can have some success.

I am yet to try the method but i just wanted to know if you guys have successfully done this or doing it already.

It works out well only for in demand items. For example something such as RN4 right now. I have done it many times but not as a reseller to be specific. I am fascinated to try out any good phone that launches so I try my best to get hold of it in the first sale, use it for 2 or 3 days and sell it at cost. I was always able to sell it off even after using it because the device is in high demand at that time. If you want to sell it at cost the only way you can make profit is if there is some website offering cash back or there are some launch offers you can make use of. I specifically used to get devices to sell them at high prices back during iPhone 2g/3g/3gs/4/4s days and few Android phones. I sold each phone with several thousands of profit by getting them from US. The latest I have done was with OnePlus 2 where I sold 5 phones with a profit of around 10k per device at an average in the very initial days. But things are not that rosy right now with device availability being lot better so do watch out before betting on such things. Give it a try in a small way to begin with.

I know people who are doing the same buddy. Its a booming business and they say its good if you don’t have any other business because this requires time.

I am a internet marketer since 4 years and have managed to setup my business quite well. And This business seems like too much work for my cousin because he is not all technical.

u can sell used items only , u will get call from OLX and they will ask you for this .

the current in demand product is RN4 64GB reselling from 500 – 1500 profit per piece. many people also bought droom helmets + prestige air fryer and selling them on quikr / olx. there is no harm in selling for a little bit of extra income… problem is with people who offer some ridiculous rates even for already low priced products. they dont even read full details + price + new / used / unused… just for time on olx they chat take name numbers addresses and vanish…

very few genuine buyers nowdays + needs lot of patience to handle all sort of people and get the right price

Jagdish market is probably to worst place for buying/selling used phones, you get the worst possible deals.

But yeah, it’s a bit risky to purchase on OLX too most times as there is no way of verifying certain things such as minor liquid or other internal damages to phones internally. In Jagdish market you at least get some sort of support in stores such as Faizul for paying that premium.

Gonna share my last week’s exp with olx:

I had a lot of unused products laying around me, like telescope, shoes, bean bags, etc.

I decided to get rid of them and posted an ad for 3 products at an affordable rate considering they sell more than 60% of my listed price online.

I received a lot of chat messages but only few were genuinely interested and I was able to sell two products at an decent profit. Considering I bought them at loot prices, so I would say it’s not worth our time. You may end up in loss if there is no demand for the product.

As someone stated it might work well for mobile phones but the greediness of the sellers will make buyers look like an fool.

beware while selling phones and meeting on road – some buyers are extra smart they give less notes while making payment and confuse in talks… always ask for 2000 / 500 notes while selling high priced phones…. also preferably meet at home check all and then hand over the mobile…

You’ve answered it yourself.

By the way, from order number also… a dedicated or resourceful person can get to finding out account details if they get internal help (or working in CSD).

I generally use generic names on most orders and often mask or replace exact address with slightly vague details.

So that on the invoice or the shipping label. Just apartment/ building name is visible but not the door number.

Or using a dummy address and hoping that the D.A. calls up to clarify.

If still want to risk it, one can always edit the PDF and hope that one’s customer (person buying) is not nosey to go around trying to fins out the account from wbich ordered or the address, name, phone numbers.
