Can OTP come even after card closure ?

I closed my SBI card earlier this month CC confirming the same
Yesterday on Amazon I mistakenly selected this card and to my surprise I rec a OTP for the transaction
Anyone knows how this is possible ?
Is the card not closed fully ?

Serious Note : I think it hasn't yet updated in their system. Wait for somedays or call customer support/mail them for this issue.
Transaction would have failed most probably though it's still surprising. Try doing a recharge of 10 & see if it goes through - unlikely in my opinion.
Ideally when you are being redirected from merchant to the bank's payment gateway page, it should tell that the card is invalid or something like that... shouldn't land till the otp page itself... however it's SBI, so can't expect it XD
Most prolly it will take a month or two before the bank marks that card as blocked/closed/hotlisted and the same be displayed on payment gateway.
These fuckers might not have even closed it properly
Time to notify their boss ,RBI I guess
now that the card if closed if you can transact you aren't necessarily bound to pay, use the otp, it won't work 😊
