This BBD I had decided to change my all HD to SSD and was on a spree to buy SSD as the price has become a bit softer after long period. However the experience so far is

mixed. Now I am victim of two fraudulant cases each from Amazon and Flipkart worth more than 30K.

A) Flipkart (Seller MPDSLERetail) . Item received had SuperTron Sticker.

Product - Samsung 2TB Touch SSD. Purchased two quantities separately. Got delivered both together. I felt one of them lighter and my suspicion grew and it turned to be true. In one of the boxes SSD missing but accessories are there. Filed they request and they are asking me to submit my ID proof but I am fighting back. In the t&c and Privacy policy no where its mentioned i need to provide my Adhhar Card/DL etc and that too they would give to 3rd party for Verification. How can they do it legally?

B) Amazon -

Seagate Firecuda 520 SSD 2TB up to 5000 MB/s - Performance Internal M.2 NVMe PCIe Gen4 X4 for Gaming Desktop Laptop (ZP2000GM3A002)

Seller Appario Retail Private Ltd but Product is also has Supertron sticker.

Received the box. The Seal is broken. Opened the item and the item was inside anti static pouch. Took out the item and wanted to fix and could not fix it.  Then i noticed it was M.2 SATA ssd not M.2 NVMe SSD. Someone has put the stickers on some cheap SATA SSD and kept inside it and sent to me.

Just raised a ticket with them and see what will happen.

@guest_999 @getready is it really true, that these big sellers are also scamming people?

Product A: Most likely delivery scam. Unlike Amazon, FK doesn't sell renewed/refurbished items

Product B: Counterfeit product (Firecuda 520 series is PCIe Gen4 NVMe). Very less chances some user scammed amazon through returns

PS: Supertron is official indian distrubutor/importer for samsung & seagate storage drives (If the sticker got hologram, then they're responsible Edit: Seal is broken)

+ MPDSLERetail & Appario Retail are inhouse sellers for FK & Amazon

PPS: Flipkart did good opting for "Unboxed deliveries". They should implement these every account/location (At least via eKart)

Appario looks like scammy nowadays, maybe something is wrong with them internally (maybe in their team)

A lot of complaints but Amazon immediately delete the negative feedbacks..

Deleted negative feedbacks mostly relate to delivery(product delayed/not delivered/damaged/missing etc) for which "amazon takes responsibility for amazon fulfilled product" so no seller review for these reasons as basically amazon is saying that fault is not of seller but their own logistics.

Serious scam going on internally. So much can't be done by delivery guys. The cases are growing day by day. Everytime delivery guy may not be the culprit.

I noticed that scam happens when they ship two items in same box. It happened a lot of time where the cheaper one gets delivered smoothly and costly one have parts missing or replaced by fake

I believe its due to Flash Sale done by them . What does it mean that since most people trust Appario or Retail they started  listing 3rd party vendors items as well on behalf of them with some premium. You can verify by seeing exact quantity is stock in both the seller.   Once order is placed, they in turn/place the order to those vendors. This is known as Flash Sale and those cases the inventory is not managed by those retailers. We feel comfortable thinking we are ordering from trusted seller.

There was a Govt directive on stopping the flash sale . Not sure what happened to it.

Also what is unfortunate now they do not put serial number in the invoice.

"Certain e-commerce entities are engaging in limiting consumer choice by indulging in ‘back to back’ or ‘flash’ sales wherein one seller selling on platform does not carry any inventory or order fulfilment capability but merely places a ‘flash or back to back’ order with another seller-controlled platform. This prevents a level playing field and ultimately limits customer choice and increases prices,” the ministry said in a statement.

Update:

Amazon has refunded for the Counterfeit product they have sent back.

Flipkart - still asking same question again and again to send product picture. I do not know what product picture to send if the product itself is missing. Sent the outer package, inner package, stickers all but still same repetition.
