Hello Fellow Dimers,
Writing this post so that my fellow Dimers be aware of a Cash on Delivery scam that runs now a days via meesho. So the scenario is random sellers of Meesho are having Huge address database they fetched from amazon . they will send some scrap/old clothes to these addresses as Cash on delivery and via meesho app.
If you are unware of this Scam or might think that your wife may have ordered or parents may have ordered and will accept the product upon delivery and pay the cash.
and there starts the Headache, Once you open the package it will be just a waste peace of cloth . I happened to recieve a Cash on delivery order of 444 rs where in i am not even having a meesho account. I complained them in twitter and they asked me to create a meesho account and also they are arranging a reverse pickup. the Order was picked up from me but its been 3 months i am chasing them for Cashback.
Now meesho has blocked me in Twitter and there CEO also restricted me in twitter.
Reasearching in twitter i came to know that i am not the only person but others also facing the same .
Curious how are they getting so many address , my address in COD order was ditto same of my amazon default shipping address.
Sharing here so that everyone will be cautious about this one.

Even i never order any product with Cash on delivery , but unfortunately when the Delivery person came my wife opened the door and she paid the money as i was in meeting and later when we opened the package we got surprised. there was no bill in the package i happened to figured out its a meesho delivery by checking with delhivery and later calling there customer care.
pretty much i have spend efforts of rs 1000 to get 444 back. now i have given up and not going to run behind them again.

Almost happened with me. Luckily, It was me who opened the door, & only I place order at my house, be it milk or mobile. Delivery boy said order is from Meesho. I remembered that I have done no COD transactions. I still checked app if I ordered something, nothing. I said I haven't ordered anything it's a mistake & rejected. Safe!

Very common scam on Meesho. Happened with me too recently - saw the sender address and rejected.
I got a trick from an insta reel to see how are they getting your data.
In your shipping addresses, give your name as
Akhil Amazon on Amazon
Akhil Flipkart on Flipkart
Akhil Tatacliq on Tata cliq
So when you get a courier like that or a random call selling something, or random email with such a name you know where it is getting leaked from

Meesho is a place of fraudsters and scammers. I installed the app recently and ordered few items as I saw cheap prices there compared to Amz/Fk. To my surprise each and every product delivered was fake or 2nd hand copy. While ordering I had chosen M trusted and 4* still got fake products. Even though I was able to return all those but my experience is not good at all and subsequently uninstalled it not to use ever again.

How did you trust this meesho ? If you are creating new account and order from someone else account and if return happens he will receive the refund not you.

and this thing i have also told to my parents that when i will order anything it will only be prepaid , if its COD , then do not take it .

Never buy pendrive from this site (its all fake)
Please don't buy from Meesho in general for pendrive as all the 128gb pendrive I bought are not original. The chip is changed to china company make and the speed will be very slow and capacity with proper working is only half of the original or sometimes even less than that. instead of buying this buy a genuine one on other sites. Also don't buy the same item twice or in bulk as they will send all orders in one package with only one material and others missing. There is no option to return or get money if your material is not delivered but says delivered.
Also, the promotion they have is a scam as I waited till 2 pm to go for one material which was 380 for 99 rupees and after a few days, I saw in their app they have cancelled that material. When I checked they said it was not available, then why make people wait for hours to get the promotion only to know that it can be cancelled anytime?
I raised a complaint to Meesho but they said they can't do anything if the material is missing. so please don't buy the same item twice or in bulk from Meesho then you will lose all the money as I did. I am going to quit Meesho from now on as they are really cheating customers like this. I lost all trust I had in this site

My experience is good from meesho. 4-5 orders in a month average. Mostly everything comes good. If there is something like quality issue, there is a very easy and smooth return policy, which is better than amazon, Flipkart too

Delivery boy from shadow fax came n said I hv ordered rs 599 codfrom Meesho n I said I hv not ordered anything in that he said ok then I am canceling ur order n give me the cancellation code but I denied…..n today again tried attempt to deliver n called me so many time but I strictly deny to give them cancellation code
So he started arguing with me like …. U think we r fraud n all n cut the phone
I hv instinct that this is some kind of scam n I googled it
