Caution while installation of washing machine

Sharing below caution points which I learned while installation of my new LG front load washing machine.
Buyers should take precaution while installing the machine.
1) Make sure to allow installation only to that person whose name appears in LG SMS you get from LG . Most likely sub qualified person (who might have subcontracted by LG service centre at cheaper rate) calls you and does installation, that is why there are plenty of issues likely to get during bad installation like noise and vibrations.
2) LG does provide rat mesh (though its not listed ) which is packed between the machine top and the box cover top flaps. Get it installed before you remove transit bolts. The procedure is given in user manual. Please read it before starting installation.
3) Perform at least one spin cycle in front of installation guy, during which you can highlight issues like vibration or noise.
4) avoid mounting of machine over stand or trolly.
5) share 6 digit code (you get from LG SMS) to installation guy, only after satisfactory installation.
6) read user manual thoroughly to understand WM functions.. Sometime, un trained installation guy can mislead you.

As far as detergent usage, LG mentions in user manual to prefer powder detergent, as liquid detergent may start solidify if not used immediately (especially when delay timer is used)

Interesting. Never knew there was a concept of rat mesh for WM and even provided for free. I thought only cars have those.
Leveling part is important. They just setup and leave. After a few days your machine will make that dhaad dhaad noise when spinning fast and lose its alignment soon .
Other important points.
a) Make sure they are levelling the machine using a spirit level. This is important for maximizing the machine life.
b) Make sure they remove the transit bolts from behind the machine. The locking bolts that prevent the drum from moving around during transportation. If they forget this out of carelessness the machine will self destruct on the first spin cycle.
c) Make sure you use only liquid detergent in the washing machine. Detergent powders stick the back of the drum and creates rust and imbalance to the drum.
