Charged twice for a transaction!!

I did a NPS transaction with AU lit card on 29th January. Now just by chance i checked my transaction history and i saw that the same transaction is appearing twice, both have exact same date and amount. I have only one email/SMS for deduction. I finally contacted the their customer care dept and was told that the second transaction is settled on 8th February, approx 10 days later.
They could see the time of the 1st transaction and it matches with the email/SMS I got. Somehow no time is available for the second one. The statement at the merchant's side also shows only one transaction on 29th Jan and nothing after that.
Subsequently, they agreed to file a dispute for it and I am waiting to see what happens. The statement comes on 15th and I am hoping that it will be sorted out before that so that I don't have to pay double the bill.
Has anyone else faced this?

In my case the amount is 10K so it's a matter of concern.
Same happened in sbi Cc, reported matter today morning. Coincidence is my transaction is of same date as yours 29th January.
Until yesterday there was one transaction.
Today there were two transactions of same date, same amount, same merchant.
Visa platform card it is.
Same happened with me in oct 2022.. mailed to axis also..they gave temp credit and then reversed it after 2 months.. I also gave up without following up.. i should have tried to raise to rbi ombudsman
May be I ll do someday and take revenge from these axis ba**ards
You can still approach the Ombudsman. I had done so 2.5 years later.
To everyone who is reading the thread. It got reversed today. This is a major glitch as many are reporting this for the exact same date. Please Chek your history.
Register a complaint with the RBI Ombudsman. It helped in my case (different scenario) plus a hefty penalty.
I will if they do not help. Sometimes such things are sorted out with the statement.
