Citi Bank Paytm First Credit Card enquiry
After Recent upgradation on rewards in Paytm first credit card new rewards seems lucrative for huge insurance bill payments.
1*Paytm Mall Spend*s: 5% cashback on all spending done on Paytm Mall
2*Flight bookings*: 2% cashback on all flight bookings done through Paytm Flights using the Paytm First Card
3*Spends on Paytm app and website*: 3% cashback on all spends done on the Paytm app and website, excluding spends done on Paytm Mall and Paytm Flights.
4*All other Spends* : . 1% cashback. However cashback will not accrue on fuel and wallet load transactions. earlier cashback was also available on wallet load transactions.
As per 3rd point we will receive 3% Cashback on this card for our insurance payments too. As of now Amazon Pay ICICI (APay) card gives 2% rewards and Axis ACE card gives 2% cashback.
So Paytm first card will be winner in this section. I was planning to cancel this card but now I am planning to continue with it as I have >1L/annum insurance payments. So I can get additional 1k cashback by using it.

Anyone checked how much you are getting for rent payment on paytm using citi bank Paytm first card / sbi Paytm first card?

Hi I’m getting an error when ever i try to make rent payment from Paytm using my " Paytm Citibank credit card ".
Error is
" Sorry, this transaction is declined as our system surveillance bot has flagged your account from making this transaction ".
As per this comment here, in reality you get only 1% & not 3% on insurance premium payments on paytm using paytm citi card because of transaction getting registered as lic & not paytm/one97comm. As citi bank is exiting retail operations in India so nobody knows when this issue will get sorted out.
