Hello fellow Dimers,
While I am generally happy that there are lot of contests here, but please allow me to raise a small concern.
Some of the contests have users provide data that is personal.
If someone were to see for eg someone wrote want to buy 2 crore home.
This person's posts and answers for credit cards, contest of city with pictures etc, how many credit card u own, which was ur best card of 2023 etc.
By combining all these answers a profile of a certain rich person can be created and using social engineering, a hacker can potentially target such high net worth individuals.
I know most people here are just common man like me.
But this is a free forum , so what stops a hacker from signing up and attempting to do fraud.
Maybe I am too paranoid but I wrote what I felt.
