In theory, inactivated vaccines, such as Covaxin, provide broader protection against mutating variants, as they are based on the whole virus. AstraZeneca said it is updating its COVID-19 vaccine to make it effective against new variants.

Both are good and you can go anyone but preferably if possible get Covaxin

Covaxin work with mRNA technology an hence it is capable to fight with different strain of Covid-19(Chinese Virus).

Remember CovidShield is not protecting from South African strain and we have seen news of returning back does from those countries. But our target must be to get available doses and increase immunity.

If you are not going in public an taking precaution then you can also avoid for time being. Choice is your.

Stay hydrated and avoid ibru for any pain instead get paracetamol. If you drink, avoid for atleast 10 days however guidelines asks for 45 days. Wear light cloths like vest and bemuda or shorts and avoid going into sun or heavy work for 2 days because a virus has been injected inside you and let body rest as it is building protien to fight against virus. So plenty or fluid, no chai coffee, no daaru murga, only paracetamol for fever or pain, have curd/ganne ka ras/lassi it there is hot summer outside and stay inside with very light cloths.

my mom and dad age close to 55 yrs received covishield on 6th april but both of them didnt have any vaccine after effects like fever , pain in injection site etc . both of them by gods grace never have contracted covid 19 till now . does this mean their immunity is very strong as they didn’t experience any vaccine after effects

Vaccine can reduce your risk of developing coronavirus and make your symptoms milder if you do get it…. The risk will be there. Precautions like mask and safe distance and hand wash etc. Will have to be followed even after getting vaccine. So do get vaccinated

I had covaxin and despite mild fever on 2nd day and little headache on 3rd, rest was fine.

Many folks I know had covishield and most had fever, fatigue, body ache and cold. None of them got covid even when working frontline.

Just remember few things, women around 45-60 with obesity or edema or while they take any drug and get swelling on face/lips/lymph/tummy should wait for sputnik or get covaxin to be on safe side (that will be 1 in 10000) or men and specially women with low blood (those who look pale yellow or whitish or underweight) should have full blood test test and see of white blood cells are enough, people with hypertension should have bp dose before vaccine and last are those who get allergy from food should also avoid. Rest about 9998 out of 10000 should get vaccine. There is nothing to worry about. It’s absolute safe and it protects you from much dangers post-covid.

Those who took vaccine should wear mask for near and dear ones, keep santized hands all the time and maintain distance. Vaccine assures you won’t die but person near you who haven’t is at as high risk as you were without vaccine.

It takes 22 days to develop immunity. They must have caught COVID while vaccination or some other place.

CovidShield can not cause COVID 19.

Let me share my exp as well.

I took CoviShield shot last to last Saturday. In the evening, I got high fever, body ache and chills. Fever got as high as 102. Took Paracetamol 650. After 2 days I got okay but my daughter and wife got high fever, cold, body ache etc. Wife is now feeling better but daughter ( 18 years ) is still having body ache and cold etc. Day before yesterday, they both tested Negative. I think they both got positive and now recovered.

All this started after I got vaccinated … or may be co-incidence ! flushed

Deal Captain Deal Captain

Bhai koi correlation lag nahi raha hai iska vaccination se but itna perfect co-incidence bhi nahi lag raha , aapki wife & daughter bhi gaye thay vaccination center ya aap akele/kisi aur k saath gaye thay ?

Fever & mild infection is reported in large numbers after vaccination in various countries (edit- This happens with most vaccines & not limited to covid vaccines). Specific to Covidshield – There have been few cases of clots among the millions vaccinated.
1. These vaccines are meant to avoid serious adverse effects of Corona. One can still get infected but life threatening implications will be reduced.
2. In most cases a vaccinated person can still infect others. So all measures to safeguard oneself is still required.
3. These vaccines have been fast tracked due to global pandemic. Generally they require many years of research and trials.
4. If serious conditions of Corona leading to hospitalisation is reduced then it’ll mean lesser burden on our medical facilities. In such cases better care can be provided to those who are in critical condition due to Corona or other medical conditions.
5. As virus mutates it’ll effect everyone. This time most of the infected fall below 45 years of age till now. If vaccination is not comprehensive then virus may mutate further & become more infectious & lethal. If it constantly mutates then herd immunity will be hard to achieve..

Unless one is allergic or there is some other medical complication one should get the vaccine if he/she is eligible. There are pros & cons in most things but if one has the chance of avoiding serious health complications then he should go for it.
