As expected by a worthless company like CRED, the Cred Pay system is equally worthless and misleading. You are not really making the full payment using Cred Coins but paying only a minuscule amount with the dreaded “up to” amounts e.g up to 10% of purchase. It’s more of a coupon than a payment mode. As with all other features of Cred, you can totally IGNORE CRED PAY.

As they are starting with 10% discount, the discount percentage will reduce going forward. I can say that from the history of CRED from start, initially they used to offer rewards for 100% coins and now the coins you can burn for a purchase is extremely less.
