One of my distant family member became RM in hdfc bank and he was boasting about it today in a family gathering and he said three branches come under me and all that kind of shizz . So i told him to get me a hdfc credit card . He asked me do you have any other card I said yes and then asked the limit I told him 180000 ( I told him just one of my cards limit )then he said your limit is nothing this is student card limit lol. Is it true ? Because as far as I know it took me 1 year of continuous use of cc to reach to this limit.
So kindly shed some light is there any student cards limit .
P.S – I am not a student
And I hold cards from axis,sbi,rbl and icici and all of them have limits above 1 lakh and one is 2 lakh plus . I told him about 180000 because that’s my most used card .

LOL There is some truth in it.
HDFC hands out 75k-1.2L CL CCs as preapproved ones to literally anyone and everyone.
But that “Student card limit” remark though was bit of a punch down. That snobbish disdain of achievements of other family member by some other family member is part and parcel of every family gathering. Take in stride and move on.

RM, u mean regional manager?? he can say anything but 1.80L is definitely not a student limit…
dont ask him for a credit card he might help u with approval but not with limit, its beyond his arms reach so…
if it was in his reach he would have said he could give u a card with 2-3 lacs limit…
ask him for a zero balance classic account in any of the 3 branches… u might have to maintain 1 lac for 3-4 months till upgrade but later branch manager can do his trick and provide zero balance classic account…

If u have enough limit then what is his role? ask him to get Diners card or at least Regalia approved after 3-4 months, open ur a/c now in one of those 3 branches
