[Digisavings] Discussion thread
Created a new thread as it is no longer a wallet but like ke a full fledged account minus cheque book. So doesn’t come under the purview of existing wallet thread. And it has started marketing so aggressively now that it would attract so many new customers.

Serious marketing starts, huge billboards and front page newspaper ads and maybe that coming at the cost of monthly interest payout being changed to quarterly.
suddenly they changed to quarterly without any update.. yesterday when i spoke to cc they told“Interest on savings deposit shall be credited at quarterly or shorter intervals (on domestic savings deposits),” RBI said in a master circular issued on March 3.
Seems you are mistaken. RBI said interest must be paid at least once every quarter. They have asked banks to stop half yearly payout, not monthly one.

From other banks perspective it is burdensome for them, for us its good.
Don’t know why digibank changed it.

It has more to do with the other change they made earlier. 7% quarterly or 5% monthly, still 7% is better.
Now Same slabs for interest for their normal savings accounts as well.

Check there is another update. Update first to login.

Already updated, and it prompts to update in such cases.
DBS plans to disburse loans as well through this account in future. And if it meets the overall targets it has set, the established banks will have to rethink their strategy.
How much will I get after 3 months if I hold 90K in my account? Will it become 96.3K in 3 months? Am I missing something?
there are no charges on debit card from second year(as for now). confirmed from CC. They didnt tell me why their website says about the charges. Someone confirm it again.

After biometric at CCD, is there any customer identification related step that they carry out?

I too had grilled them long back. They said don’t worry, that’s for reissuance of card, if any charges you will be notified.
I bought first point as we have reason to contest that you had committed on chat which is saved at their end.
2nd point of notification is dicy as it is app based & till date no Emailer has come for any offer. I raised this too with them.
Enjoy till you can.

Verification of details in backend. Will receive confirmation message once it is done and then you can order physical debit card.
For biometric verified accounts, does it permit biometric authentication of txn when using phones having finger print scanner?

No such feature exists currently.
Guess what? This digibank virtual card is crap. It doesn’t work internationally. Hunt for internationally enabled virtual card is still on for me.
