1. Is there any discount available for app store purchase. I see that US Gift cards don’t work in India. Any other way to get discounts
2. Any virtual CC which works on the store?

No idea
Even Apple Official store (India) doesn’t have these universal gift cards & the resellers are selling these Indian gift cards for 20/30% premium price
Been years since I used my last iPhone, not sure if the VCCs work
None that I am aware of. The only discount that I could ever avail was the app directly going into discount.
Okay. I don’t want to save my card in the account. Is there an option for that.
Any difference between adding money to wallet first or directly using card for buying

If you have cards which gives good rewards, then add them and use it to add funds to your Apple account.
Say if you have HDFC millennia credit card which gives 2.5% on 2k+ online spends. You can add 2k. Or maybe Infinia/DCB 3.3% (use it to load in multiples of 150₹)
I use Amex MRCC to add to my itunes balance.
Rather than do small 70₹ transactions in few months, I felt its better to add 1k (now it will be 1.5k).
If you want, you can disable the credit card (probably not feasible on Amex, but other cards do support this) for international txns, so it won’t be billed again in iTunes.. unless you enable it again.
App store purchases are in Indian currency, but I have seen disabling international txns makes purchases fail, so I’m not very sure how this exactly works. Maybe they do some kinda checking before billing.
Good idea, should have done last month for 1000. 1500 is a bit high for me and might not get used soon
Apple and discounts – Oxymoron
