Following story based tv shows with never ending storyline ( like the walking dead/ supernaturals etc. ) is now impossible

Please suggest tv shows that are episode based (I mean vilayati counterparts of cid/gumraah/savdhaan india etc etc)

Nah, cops is real footage of real crime scenes. No drama/fiction. Very different from CID. Even its age on TV is not comparable to CID, bro.

Try it once.

Nothing good comes to my mind. The last such show I enjoyed watching was CSI: NY. But that also got repetitive and boring after sometime.

Wonder if you are into the technical good stuff thats closer to reality or are okay with a bit of humour and mombojombo too.

In the former, i’ve loved as in Loved ‘Criminal Minds’. Being a team based thing its more engaging in the side storylines too ( @ishandon what is your usual liking? Serious investigative stuff or a mix of jokes plus crime solving? )

@Jairaj I feel you. Season 2 onwards it felt like a cheap B-Grade movie. Same with 24, saw first and second season didn’t like the second season. Then didn’t see further atall. ‘Spartucus’ met the same fate. Watch the ‘Gods of Arena’ and then the ‘Blood and Sand’ both were too good but then rest of the seasons were drag.

True detectives is one of my recent favs, along with ‘The Killing’.

Has anyone seen ‘The Pacific’ and ‘Band of Brothers’? Too good. In fact, whatever HBO touches turns into Gold. There are exceptions.

Breaking Bad was good for it’s story,direction,acting,cinematography and more technical stuff. But, somewhat hyped IMO, maybe it’s just me. If breaking bad is your stuff then ‘Better call Saul’ should be on your list.

HIMYM was grossly overrated, if not for Neil Patrick Harris this soap would have died long long ago. But again, maybe it’s just me.

Breaking bad is not just good . It’s ‘The Show’ . Hands down . Better Call Saul is good because of some good acting and an avg storyline at the moment . Hope it gets better . . .

‘The Mentalist’ did go somewhat off the rail after RJ was revealed but still it was above average .

Almost all the shows I have watched is already mentioned here .

The Blacklist is very entertaining . Not so dramatic or great acting but the story-line is pretty good .

Then there’s Hannibal if you are into horror,mystery ( seasons 1 and 2 ) . Season 3 just started but it doesn’t have episodic closure as S1 and S2 .

Elementary portrays the modern day Sherlock . Pretty good show . Fine acting by Lucy Liu and Jonny Lee Miller too .( Especially since the British counterpart Sherlock takes 3-4 yrs for just one season ) .

I am mainly interested in these kinda shows . ( Heard many +ve feedback on Game of Thrones , will watch later )

Missed White Collar . It’s the all-round package . The chemistry between Matt Bomer (Caffrey) and Tim DeKay (Peter) is amazing . Then we have Willie Garson (Mozzie) . Great acting, superb cons and story . A must-see .

Those who like Dark themed TV series, you shouldn’t miss the series: ‘Utopia’. Give it a try guys. It is a short series and only have 2 seasons.

I loved season 1 but Season 2 is somewhat off the track but still watchable.

Started watching “Band of Brothers”!

Completed first two episodes and I am re watching them again and again!

Before Band of Brothers, watched season one of The Shield, The Wire and Better Call Saul.

The Shield is Excellent but almost everyone are bad in it including the Cops, whereas ‘The Wire’ started out slow but after a few episodes it was great, became one of my favorite series!

I think Better Call Saul is kinda Overrated. Of course it is Good but it surely rated very high in imdb.
