नयी दिल्ली. अकासा एयर ने बुधवार को उड़ान में ले जाने लायक पालतू जानवरों के वजन को बढ़ाने की घोषणा की. अब घरेलू उड़ानों के केबिन में 10 किलोग्राम तक वजन वाले पालतू जानवरों को भी ले जाने की अनुमति यात्रियों को मिल गयी है. एयरलाइन ने उसने यह कदम ग्राहकों की प्रतिक्रिया को ध्यान में रखते हुए उठाया है. अकासा एयर ने नवंबर, 2022 में यात्रियों को केबिन या कार्गो में बिल्लियों और कुत्तों के साथ घरेलू उड़ानों में उनके वजन के आधार पर यात्रा करने की अनुमति दी थी. पहले केबिन के भीतर पालतू जानवरों के लिए सात किलोग्राम वजन की सीमा तय की गयी थी, जिसे अब बढ़ाकर 10 किलोग्राम कर दिया गया है. एयरलाइन ने एक बयान में कहा कि कार्गो में 32 किलोग्राम तक वजन वाले पालतू जानवरों की अनुमति है. भारतीय एयरलाइंस में से अकासा एयर के अलावा सिर्फ एयर इंडिया ही केबिन में पालतू जानवरों को ले जाने की अनुमति देती है जबकि स्पाइसजेट कार्गो में पालतू जानवरों को ले जाने की अनुमति देती है..

Pets up to 10 kg can be taken in the cabin of Akasa Air
New Delhi. Akasa Air on Wednesday announced an increase in the weight of pets allowed on flights. Now passengers have been allowed to carry pets weighing up to 10 kg in the cabin of domestic flights. The airline has taken this step keeping in mind the customer feedback. Akasa Air in November 2022 allowed passengers to travel with cats and dogs in the cabin or cargo, depending on their weight, on domestic flights. Earlier, the weight limit for pets inside the cabin was set at seven kilograms, which has now been increased to 10 kilograms. The airline said in a statement that pets weighing up to 32 kg are allowed in cargo. Among Indian airlines, apart from Akasa Air, only Air India allows pets in the cabin while SpiceJet allows pets in cargo.

Do not know about India, but in many places.. none of the airlines can legally deny a service animal. Like if a visually impaired person has a service dog, then in many countries the law allows them to have them by their side. Service animals do not fall under the weight rule either.
The smaller ones are usually required to be in thir basket too. No such limitation for the service animal.
