Does American Express cards consider rent payments for milestone benefits?

I see Amex platinum to have 4,00,000 yearly target for milestone benefit. Does rental payments account for it? I see utilities such as gas bill etc. are excluded but no mention on rent.

I wanted to close AMEX as I a barely using it. Looks like I don’t have a use case for it now. No point paying annual fees. Will just go ahead and close it

Downgrade and keep Amex Smart Earn credit card for those offers in between.

I believe Mobid*ck still allows rent payment via Amex, just that the charges are some 2.36% or so... Although you might want to evaluate your effective reward/milestone rate whether it justifies the charges or not.
