I recently received diners black CC . I would like to know if biller registration in HDFC smartpay for 3 months to convert card into LTF offer is applicable on Diners black.
I know this works for regalia, but I am not too sure about diners black, since my RM denied it.

No LTF for Diners black. You need to spend 5L to waive off fees. And if you cannot spend 5L, then this card is not for you toungueout

Thanks. 5L is not an issue unless I end up having to spend an year or two overseas, during which I’d practically be paying the yearly fees for no reason. I just wanted to know if there was an easier way to get LTF without having to talk to bank representative s.

I have a life time free DCB. It was LTF while getting itself.

Holding a DCB now is going to be costly affair if it is not LTF. Earlier the annual fee was 5K + GST per year. This annual fee used to get compensated with reward points. Now DCB has changed their TnC and the annual fee has been raised to 10K + GST with no rewards. Obviously with the 33% RP it is still a steal deal.

My referral won’t be adding any value. Just go to their website and see the eligibility criteria. If you think you are eligible, apply on their website. They come back quickly.

And asking salary and all is not the right question on public forum.

In hand salary should be more than Rs. 1.75 Lakhs per month for Diners Club Black.

For getting 33% rewards , all links should get opened by smartpay like Ola Amazon etc ? How is the tracking success ratio for extra 9x rewards.

Q1. Smartbuy – Yes.

Q2. Success ratio – I have done it for first 2-3 months, and could tally the points with the purchases.

I saw Ola now. So, DCB has a 15K limit for additional 9x RPs on Smartbuy purchases and another 15-25K (don’t remember exactly) for additional 9x on partners. So Ola is basically a partner. Not just Ola, Uber premier rides are also covered under 10X RPs.

Further adding, the smartbuy transactions must originate from Smartbuy. The partner transactions are to be paid directly by DCB.

Is there any offline purchase to get 10x points like Reliance digital/croma . Also  do we just need to swipe card there to get this 10x?

Only caveat is you need to do transactions greater than Rs. 150 to get rewards. HDFC Bank doesn’t give rewards for transactions less than Rs. 150. Due to this reason, Ola and Uber offer are not so practical unless your fare goes above Rs. 150.

This is the only thing i hate about hdfc credit cards. All transactions have to be in multiples of Rs150 to get the maximum rewards. Even if you spend 299 you only get reward points for Rs150. It is ok if they give zero points for transactions below Rs150 but the least they can do is that all transactions above rs150 should be given reward points on pro rata basis.

@dipikameghani739 I am pretty sure this works on regalia. I have a few friends who got this card recently and the customer care mentioned that their card’ll become ltf once they register for electricity bill payments via smartpay. You’ll see the option for registering for smartpay on HDFC netbanking. You probably need 3 bill payments in the first 3 months to get ltf, so register as soon as you get the card
