Can anyone who has the device confirm if a JioFi device will work without battery and while connected with USB to a computer?

I’m thinking of buying one but not sure if it will work when the battery dies. Otherwise I’ll have to buy a non-battery dongle.

jiofi 3 works without battery and turn off and on with power off and on. Ideally should work same with usb.
jiofi 2 doesn’t power on with electricity on wen battery is not inside.

We eat polluted food, breath polluted air all day and drink polluted water. What more harm can Jio-Fi cause?

Still, thanks for the heads-up

Unlike mobiles, we are not keeping it close to our head or on hand always. So it should be okay bro.

If the jiofi is connected to charger/power continuously with the battery in it, it will cause the battery to bulge out because of overcharging.
Take the battery out and connect it with the charger as you would normally connect with the battery in it. Press the power button and the jiofi will turn ON. There is no difference in the procedure to run the jiofi with or without the battery.
If you are worried about power failures, you will have to connect the jiofi charger to a power backup/UPS.
