Media review not that positive
DUNKI is a Heart-touching tale of real people with real emotions in a real difficult world.. Much different from the Superficial Worlds of Pathaan and Jawan.. Terrific direction of Hirani along with power-packed performances from Whole Cast. Recommended
Anyone who watched it (in theaters), please share your opinion, possibly would spend (or waste) 1000 bucks on it soon (this weekend)...
Watched it Today. Typical Hirani and SRK combo, not extraordinary. I dont think it will be 200-300 CR. Have some emotional, comic, patriotic moments but not worth 1000 bucks. 200-300 per person without food is fine 🙈
Watched today, similar feeling.
Topic is good but screenplay doesnt look like a Raju hirani film, no consistency, seems like 4-5 stories sewn improperly.
Also I didn't understand what the movie was trying to say, instead of questioning the people who use illegal means to enter other countries, it illogically questions the countries themselves.
Seems this year will end without a single good hindi movie.

Good heartwarming movie after long time ... not to be compare to 3i or munnabhai series , still better .
Breath of fresh air , compared to regular chapri/mass masala movies .

My cousin went and watched it today. (He always watches first day first show of every movie that his favourite actor, director or genre is involved).
So this film is a good film, all the actors/actresses are doing character roles and not larger than life, bullshit science defying action scenes, Rohit Shetty car crashes or gore maco shit.
There is no mass masala genre used that the recent Hindi moviegoers have supported.
If you are the type that doesn't enjoy action/stunt/macho/item song littered type heavy films and just want to enjoy a simple, clean family movie with amul palekar type character acting.. go for it.
If you want adrenaline junk experience, avoid it. There is animal and salaar to choose from.
I'm honestly fed up with negative reviewers who think action genre junks like pathaan, salaar, animal, screaming feast gadar 2 are great movies and a simple storytelling movie is not worthy to be made 😠
