I know desidime is all about sharing..

Today I would like to share a very very simple desert made with bread 🍞 and sugar (my version) . 

Ingredients 👉 

1)bread (any type) 

2)sugar

3)some pure Ghee and water. 

Note: 

A) leftover bread works too(don't waste it if it's not spoiled). 

B) Left over sugar syrup from store bought rasgulla/gulab jamun tins or the one which comes with swiggy /zomato also works just well

Things needed (apart from ingredients) 

Stove(induction /gas /electric /firewood/sigri, anything) 

Pan (any kind, but thick bottom cast iron preferred) 

Some utensil to make sugar syrup (another pan will also do) 

Method:

  • Add 1 cup sugar + 1/2 cup water in a pan & bring it to boil, then simmer it until it becomes sticky.. Add some crushed cardamom (elaichi powder) & mix it. 
  • Take bread apply some ghee on it(u can also use unsalted fresh butter) & roast it crisp on a tawa or pan
  • Take out the roasted bread in a plate & pour r sugar syrup on it. 
Thats it! It's done.. Wait for 5mins until the bread absorbs the syrup then enjoy this delicacy.. 
You can store it in refrigerator safely for at least 2 weeks minimum upto 1 month(if sugar syrup should be properly cooked) .. 
Pro tips(optional) 
Add few drops of rose water into the syrup at the end
If you already have left over sugar syrup, then you can directly add it to hot roasted bread.. 

Note:recepe adapted /simplified from double ka meetha

It's Very healthy also & tasty also 😋. 

Optional Fruits like mango or chiku or papaya or strawberry 🍓 can be added to make it more nutritious..

But after adding fruits it is tastes like shake smile
