This is just a mental illness, it happens only in some religious function or religious place(pressure). (Womens are emotional) At Jerusalem some people feel Jesus inside them some people feel that they have seen Allah and some people feel Yahweh inside them. Medical science has cure of this type of mental illness but people are so blind in front of religion that that don't think that it is mental illness, if devi started coming inside them then throw a fake snake or lizard on them and see tha magic of fake snake, devi will be gone. If you talk against it they think you're Anti-religious...😢 (For some it's business.). 

If God give you brain, Your responsibility to talk about it. Believe in science 🔭.

Will suggest you to just observe and understand.

You won't need anybody's help if you try above.

Just a psychic effect. Nothing else.ofcouse the effect works because of religious grow up. Atheists won't experience these kind of paranoia..

But what i understand is in genuine case (not the one who fakes it) , they got possessed (jise hum alag naam se bhi jante hai jaise upri hawa, pret, etc etc)

Ye sach hai or hota hai, jisne experience kiya hai ya jisne kisi ko experience karte dekha hai vo janta hai, mannna or na mannna ye ek vyaktigat faisla.

Dusra hota hai excess energy and loosing one capability to control mind and body, jo aksar humne kisi kirtan mai dekha hoga, aura aesa create hota hai ki jaise kam immunity walo ko disease hoti hai vaise kam emotional walo logo ko energy out of control ho jati hai (no gender discrimination but most women are more  emotional or emotionaly weak as compared to men).

Foreign mai bhi hota hai, paranormal naam dete hai waha or yaha mata aa gayi aesa bol dete hai.

humans don't easily accept anything until they see or experiece it ... but there are some real incidents with people...

and in hindu culture or any culture there are ways to purify a person... in Hinduism we refer it to as Tantra, in western culture we call it Occult.. etc

Ab mata ek female me hi kyu aati hai aur male me kyu nahi, kya pata bhai.. not to disrespect but honge kuch compatibility issues. mata = mother, which is usually a female. Females me mata aati hai aur males me devta/bawji, ab yehi dekha-suna hai. I've seen this first hand in a male, my childhood neighbor friend for years himself, just 2 years younger than me!

Its more about perspective. Such things even happen in foreign countries too. But I think their religious texts are quite new and haven't covered such things in details, that's why they consider this effect as being 'possessed', that's it.

My thoughts:
Initially I didn't believe in all this. But once I, & my parents were visiting some family friend where this happened at a nearby temple we were just stopped to offer prayers as we were passing through. My mom, being an Indian mom, asked the lady why her son (me) isn't getting fixed to any girl (rishta nahi fix ho raha tha). And that lady said, it won't happen until I lose atleast 1 out of 2 girlfriends. And that scared me to sh!t. Not just this secret coming out, but also my mom's death stare at me. I hadn't even let my roommate get any idea of my 2 girlfriends, let alone anyone in family back at home. How could that stranger know? Anyway, I haven't visited any such person even since, not because I don't want any more secrets to come out or anything, but because of my own understanding of not asking for anything for myself from god, as everything depends on my karma. But I surely don't disrespect such people or such happenings by calling them mental illness or hoax or illusion. Science science bol ke skip kar sakte hain baat ko, but even top scientists accept that science does not have answers to a lot of things even now. To tab tak baaki jisko ja maan-na hai vo vohi maanta rahega, na usko kuch fark padta na vo devi devta ko (if they exist) lol

Inhe Devi / Devta ka naam do ya paranormal ya fir special powers/etc. But, jisne dekha hai woh believe karega.

Main bhi nahi karta tha, aankho ka dokha/hypnotism/etc lagta hai, but jab experience kiya, tab pata chala ki nahi, ye sab hota hai. (Even in foreign countries.)

Same goes for the Aatma/Spirit/bhoot/galat aatma/etc. Jiss ne ne nazdik se exp kiya hai wo hi janta hai.

Again, it's an individual's choice yakin karna/nahi karna. But jo nahi karte, woh log ek baar exp karenge, then I am 1001% sure woh bhi believe karne lageneg.
