Find Hidden Apps

Hello Dimers,

i have mistakenly installed an unknown app, which draws over any running app , shows an advertisement and vanishes.

i have tried searching for it in the settings, however unable to find it.

please guide. on how to deal with this situation.

In permissions section of you phone can disable/uninstall it.

Don't forget to be on safe mode before doing so

Go to the App Management or App List within the settings and locate the app.

It usually without the name just find the blank spaces. Look for it at the first or last in the list.

Install Trend Micro/ Kaspersky Antivirus app, give all permission and scan. Most probably it will detect that app and allows to uninstall it.

Thanks, this trick seems to have worked.

Installed Kaspersky Antivirus and it detected and uninstalled the malware quickly.

Install Kaspersky...scan fully...delete it....uninstall Kaspersky

Check if App Inspector or App Manager (Github) can find the app. Or temporarily switch to a different launcher like Nova which has way more options than stock ones. Using ADB one can uninstall the app by using it's package name in the unlikely event the there's no option to uninstall the app. 

Also as mentioned above check which apps have been granted the permission to Draw over other apps.
