So in the final month long sale Flipkart did 2X sales than Amazon.

Flipkart stood at 58% compared to Amazon’s 30% share in the festival sales.

They did business of $8.3 billion from mid-October to the middle of November. Offline sales were quite affected this time

Because offline prices are too high compared to online. Eg just few day back, i bought aquarium air pump offline for Rs 500 and when i checked it on amazon, exact same model was available for Rs 340 even without any offer or sale

Never understood why FK does much more sell than Amazon.
Amazon has better Customer support and better/faster dispatches
Is it just the UI that gives such a big advantage( surely FK UI is much better, much more options to filter products when compared to Amazon)

These Amazon & Flipkart are killing competition. Now a days for even a mouse that is officially for rs.300 all amazon prices are inflated.
Also they are still making loss so once competition subsides they will charge much higher.
All part of the game

And there was a talk between flipkart and amazon for merger… Just imagine what would they have done to small retailers… If that talk would have gone further
