Use sufficient, natural lighting instead of a flash. It's best if the photo is taken during the daytime- Take photo as directly above the ID as possible. Please ensure that your shadow does not cover your ID
All four edges of your ID should be visible within the image
All details on ID should be clear & legible.

They did same to me a month ago. I was trying to return a sweatshirt and they asked me id proof and only after submitting the proof they picked up the item.

Quite a lot but i order a lot from Flipkart. If i order 10 items then i return atleast two of them because of various reasons like size issue or damaged product or used product. Couple of months ago i ordered four karanchi bakery biscuit pack and two were delivered and after opening them i found that packets were fine from outside but plastic wrap was torn and bad odour was coming from them so basically flipkart cheated me and sent me used or returned biscuits but i didn’t return them but i cancelled other two orders of karanchi bakery and maybe that’s why next time they asked me id proof. Flipkart sent used or returned biscuits to me and that too in corona time.

Oh even I was tempted to order the same but finally dropped b’cos biscuits and other food items come crushed to my place. Good point u raised.
They can ask for ID proof while opening a/c, why all fuss later.

Wondering what is a ‘used biscuit’? You mean someone put it in their mouth, took it out again, repacked and sold?

There is no law for requesting id in case of returns. FK does it intentionally to secure Personal Data/IDs of individuals in lieu of returns
