Fraud by SBI in the name of Cashback Card.

So I applied for an SBI cashback card in March end seeing the FYF offer was ending on March 31st I applied for it through the link mentioned here - (Important for later) -

I did all the steps , Cibil hit, it asks for bank statement upload , done, then absolute radio silence for like 20+ days even trying to check with the application number-entered otp received says incorrect application number for some reason so ignored it as I read it may take time to review.
Then suddenly the day before yesterday I get a call from a branch I assume , who call me to assign a kyc biometric visit in 20mins I accept , now here comes the main part , I get a message in which it mentions as Simplyclick master I immediately call and notify the bank employee who then confirms with the manager himself and they assure me that it's the cashback card and since it was applied in march it will be FYF and told you can mention them if they say otherwise,
the person comes does everything required and leaves then for a surprise, I get a call mentioning I'm being offered a Simplyclick card that too several times I reject and inform it is a Cashback card and that other person also hangs up there and so and the then the usual radio silence again, I call that number I got the call again and to my surprise they start Gaslighting me as to I never applied for the cashback card in fact it was Simplyclick card (I for a fact 100% know I applied for Cashback card since I applied with the link above and know I didn't select anything else) and now they can issue a new application if needed but everything has to be done again with no FYF and charges applied,
I think how they are so sure in telling me I applied for simplyclick is ,apart from the message for kyc mentioning Simplyclick master but also when the KYC person came they made to sign a paper I think it was for Simplyclick there in some font somewhere since it was applied for my mom I couldn't verify it.
Isn't this a clear case of fraud and misrepresentation?
How can I hold these people accountable?
What actions can I take now?
I know there are several knowledgeable people regarding Ccs here please guide pensive.

SBI is such a crappy bank nowadays. My experience with SBI has never been good especially with credit cards. I also applied for a cashback card in February in my father's name who's already holding a secured and unsecured credit card of other banks with individual limits of 1.5L+ and cibil 770+. I applied in mid week of feb and scheduled the appointment for physical kyc but no one showed up and then silent for 15-20 days then they issued new application number and same no contact from bank side. they issued me 4 different applications numbers and i got cibil hit 4 times still no response from bank side upon asking through mail they said we are processing your application. Then I proceeded with RBI ombudsman through which I get to know that my application is rejected due to bank's internal policy though no mail received from SBI. After this I said permanent bye to sbi and also closed sbi saving account in which mab was 25k+ also fd of 1L+. Never going to SBI for anything again ever.

You signed in front of simplyclick while doing kyc that is why.

I too was asked to sign in front of simplyclick i refused.

That was moment you got scammed

These SBI card people are weird. My wife applied through sprint, it went well till they came for address verification and biometric. Then a lot of stuff started, people calling themselves agents calling if she got the card. Ladies calling saying from SBI branch (couple of times manager) asking if she got the card and when she said no they assured she will get at the earliest. Happened for 2 months and later she shouted at one of them saying she doesn't need the card telling them to cancel the application.

do not accept card delivery, but CIBIL hit wasted

u can do nothing they will say some confusion happened Sorry sir; write everything in paper and submit to manager and take ack, also scan and send email to sbicards(search email)

I didn't even get any message for Simplyclick being approved since I clearly rejected it, I don't even know which branch was that I got the call from it looked like they were talking in Hindi in the background which doesn't seem to be in Bengaluru since it's Kannada here,

Cashback card is also only issued online right?

Everything happened over the phone too so I don't even have any emails pensive.

Just can't come out of the bank these days without saying no at least 10 times to at least 3 people. They would be literally begging to buy insurance, MFs, Ulips, FDs, Credit card, loans what not. If making a bigger cash deposit, manager itself comes asking if I am interested in investments (Indusind bank not SBI). 

Banks and their "target" culture, frustrated employees frustrating customers. Feel sad for them but at the same time get furious when they literally try to stop you going out blocking you physically.

I knew this might be the reason I even asked that person why it was showing as simplyclick master in sms and I had applied for a Cashback card , he just told me a verification call will come and mention it there and went this greedy guy just for finishing a quota or commission did this, I should've read the form myself it didn't even come to my mind.

What happened afterward for you did you get your Cashback card?

I think I'm on the same path too but these people have went even a step further as to change the card itself to some substandard one to reach their quota.

Don't know why you had such experience. In my case SBI is the first bank to give me cc. After a number of rejections from private banks, I applied in sbi, got accepted immediatly, within 3 day days they processed everything.

Recently applied for icici, axis..Again same story, they call me and tell that I have been pre-approved but after applying they reject it.

Applied in BOB a week before, got accepted with 3 days. My experiences with private banks are not good.

Same here

Every one rejected my application

Not even got 10k limit with any Cc

Suddenly first and only Cc I got SBI 1 Lac

Got approved and received virtual sbi cashback card today.

Delivery after 7 days.
