A dentist does not have a degree either in general medicine or general surgery. His limited scope of work is in dental surgery. That is why he is referred as a dentist, not as a doctor, in the Dentists Act, 1948. ii)-- The word 'Doctor' does not occur anywhere in the Dentists Act, 1948.
