First apply for ICICI RuPay debit card, once your RuPay card will issue to you and first time you used your RuPay debit card then your old visa card will get automatically blocked.

Didn’t know about this incentive until brother shared this discontinuation message. Transacted many times in past months with Axis Neo card but never got any discount. Was there any minimum amount limit?
All OMCs also charged 1.2% to 2% extra for visa/mastercard credit card used.

No, mine account currently issue visa card but you can try it.
They have sent me Coral Debit Card (Visa).

Anyway to apply without calling? I am tired trying.. its keep saying oress 1 2 3 4 etc etc bla bla.. untill i type my card number it say u tried max time..call again.. 
Yes, you can apply through email.
Send a email to ICICI customer support mail id, no doubt first time they reply to you ICICI RuPay debit card is not available or RuPay PMJDY card is available and only 10k limit, no e-com supported etc, ignore everything and you need to tell them as per RBI rules, You can’t refuse me to issue RuPay card, also add Blah Blah Blah and Blah Blah Blah.
Blah Blah Blah means threaten them like i will complaint to RBI and i will sue you etc. Write whatever comes to your mind.
After all this gimmick, you will receive a proper reply from ICICI customer support like we will investigate on this matter and they will issue you ICICI RuPay debit card.
Note – I am not joking, already 3 person got ICICI RuPay debit card, after threaten them on email. If you are lucky then ICICI will issue you RuPay debit card without any excuse. 
one more thing, ICICI mine account holders get only visa card. No idea about current status.
Doesn’t the ICICI Rupay Platinum Debit Card support NFC? While iMobile allowed me to activate ‘Tap & Pay’ payment, I don’t see the NFC symbol on the card! @abhishek012
No, ICICI already get NFC certification from NPCI but still ICICI issue non-NFC RuPay debit cards. 
Did they stop this even for Rupay cards now? The amount did not get reduced instantly in Ongo POS machines like it used to happen earlier. With UPI, I never got the cashback though I tried paying a few times.
I think stopped. Not sure.
