Google’s plan to implement a new Tracking Protection feature in Chrome begins in January with the intention to completely disable third-party cookies in the second half of 2024.
Google is about to launch its grand plan to block third-party cookies in Chrome that many websites use to track your activity across the web for profit.
Starting on January 4th, Google will start testing its new Tracking Protection feature that will eventually restrict website access to third-party cookies by default. It will come to a very small subset of Chrome users at the start, specifically to one percent of users globally. Afterward, Google plans to phase out the use of third-party cookies for all users in the second half of 2024.

they might start charging third party for the cookies as a service.
This is to benefit google at the end, blocking third party cookies is good but when browser itself tracks everything and sells that data to advertiser anyway what's the real benefit
Maybe a step to monetize cookies taken by google
disable or allow silently only who pay google upfront first?
they can do whatever they want, who will stop them?
Just switch to Firefox as primary browser and occasionally open sites in Chrome if anything doesn't work. You get best of both worlds, privacy and compatibility.
The reason i migrated to firefox a decade ago os simple they are committed to privacy and i am eagerly waiting to get my hands on arc browser might be something entirely new challenging the chrome and firefox market share. One more thing to add, facebook get most of it's data from Google
Dont use google chrome lol use microsoft edge and firefox half of the time so your data wont be stuck with one monopoly company and the competitors will never share your data to each other lol because they dont wanna kill each other sooooooo use all browser and all search engines together in tandem together to safe yourself in this data stealing world
This is how i use browsers and search engines for the past 10 years lol
saves me from tons of adds
Who will stop google from tracking us ?
