Got Refund even though I travelled

They can ask but you dont need to give 😄

They can ask later when they come to know during they audit/account reconciliation with the airline

They will surely get back to you and spam you for their money and i guess it will depend on the amt they've transferred into your account...

Happened once for a train ticket on Amazon, amount around 5k. They first blocked my refunded amount almost 6-7 months later and kotak did a lien. Later it was debited from my account automatically.

Jackpot !! Difference of days between Date of Booking and date of Journey ? Mode of payment ? Here I am just assuming that you must be regularly following up with them for refund. I can assure you 100% they won't call you for money return. Big company never does cheap moves like a grocery shop owner. It's their robotic Coordination error in Payment+ Confirmation.  Also don't keep funds in/ where you got the refund to avoid auto reverse.

Thank you everyone for replying. I am very new here, don't even know how to reply individual comments Difference between date of booking and date of journey is 3 days. Amount is close to 7K. Mode- credit card. Did no follow ups with Yatra at all. Why would I do when I travelled actually. There has to some error from their side. I searched everywhere but didn't find any such cases. I hope it stays like what @urmila.contact have said. So I should use the jackpot Money and forget everything about it right? Or like one example above, can they follow up with the bank and get a lien marked in my credit card?

Can auto reverse happen in case of credit cards too?

If it was credit card then it will eventually happen. I remember getting refund twice and suddenly after 3 months the charge showed up.

Flipkart - It happened to me in 2016 somewhere, when there was no return pickup courier (Tier 2/3  District ) for mobile phones then at that time customers needed to send the mobile phones to their registered address, so I ship them via INDIA POST Speed Post and then sent them the email of courier slip (For reversal of Courier Charges). It was back then the system was like we are expecting your return and hence we will refund you within 3-5 working days. so, one day I received an SMS from my bank crediting a Refund of 9999Rs from Flipkart but somehow I was lucky enough that the parcel didn't reach them because of some address unavailability issue and no contact number was provided by Flipkart thus, one day the INDIA POST MAN came to my address and told me here is your returned parcel which is undelivered

I was very happy that the phone and money is with me😊 but after just 2 months from my Engg Hostel, My Phone got stolen when I was sleeping in the night from my room and I never got that phone!

Looks Like Ur Parcel Got Returned For A Reason As U Have Done Good From Ur Side, Hostel Thief Also Prays To God Na , For Him Only Parcel 📦 Got Return

Just check if the refund was for a failed transaction that you did prior to actual booking. It may be the case that one of your transactions failed and that money is returned but not the successful one.

No no. Actually the booking was never confirmed on Yatra. While checking it always showed some error. Got payment processing message but it said booking was not confirmed. Got booking confirmation from airline. Looks like a case of communication gap between Yatra and the airline

Once i was refunded 2 times for a return on flipkart. One was within few hours of return pickup and one was after 2-3 days. But after like a month or 2 flipkart took that extra money from account. Like they can do that!?

Yes it can, in fact chances of this happening in case of credit card is always higher because unlike debit card where you pay using your own money, the money paid via credit card is not yours but card issuing bank's money.

In 2012 i recharged my Airtel number through Airtel website using my icici debit card money not deducted but recharge was successful;

In 2012, I paid 32k to my StanC CC via BillDesk. Payment got credited twice.
