It usually happens as a violet/purple line or gradually growing smudge/blog..  till the whole LCD/LED is consumed.

BUt the touch sensitive layer actually continues working.‎ ‏‏‎‏‏‎ ‏‏

Usual causes,

which technicians, repair people tell .. range from 'damage'

due to improper installation of components after/during repairs.‎ ‏‏‎‏‏‎ ‏‏

Or if the phone or part of the screen got pressed too much.

(Like it is on the sofa or bed and somehow hidden under something and someone sat, lay over it or kept something over it.)‏‏

I have no solution/suggestion for the vertical green line. A display replacement is the only solution and that may make sense if you can get it for around Rs 10k with at least a 6 months, if not a 1 year, warranty from the repair shop. Alternately, I doubt it really makes a difference to your phone usage unless your phone is your primary media consumption / entertainment device.

If the entire screen has a green tint, then try the OLED Saver app by MrJS. It is not there on Google Play Store but it is there on Samsung Galaxy Apps store and on Softonic - https://oled-saver.en.softonic.com/a...id

I have had 3 Samsungs (Note8, 2 S9s) run into this entire screen green tint issue with flickering at low light. This app made the phones usable by solving around 80% of the problem.
