Today we are celebrating birth day of Swami Vivekananda, born in 12th Jan 1863 as Narendranath Datta. He was a major force in reviving Sanatan dharma in colonial India.

In 1893 he addressed the Parliament of world’s religion at Chicago by uttering the words “Sisters and brothers of America…”

At a young age he has achieved a lot of things. At first he was really sceptical of things as gurus, sadhus etc. He used to go to babas’ places to debunk their practices. Then he came in contact with Shri Ramakrishna Paramhansa. And his attitude towards life, our religion got changed.

He symbolises the metamorphosis of a sceptical, disrespectful, questioning youth to pragmatic man. He is a huge inspiration to all of us, despite of his religious beliefs. He used to say Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, translates to the world is a family. 🙂🙂🙂

A great personality and human being. Swami vivekanand, learnt a lot from his words and still his words motivates me.
-Arise, awake, and stop not until the goal is achieved.

-Take risks in your life. If you win, you can lead, if you lose, you can guide

-Believe in yourself and the world will be at your feet.

-Talk to yourself once in a day, otherwise, you may miss meeting an excellent person in this world.

-All the powers in the universe are already ours. It is we who have put our hands before our eyes and cry that it is dark.

-Be a hero. Always say, I have no fear.

-Strength is life, weakness is death. Expansion is life, contraction is death. Love is life, hatred is death.

- You cannot believe in God until you believe in yourself.

-Do one thing at a Time, and while doing it put your whole Soul into it to the exclusion of all else.

Vivekananda and Ramakrishna Paramahamsa are great role models for youngsters.

And Vivekananda is an inspiration to the world BECAUSE of his religious beliefs, not despite of it smile
