Hdfc cc activation method?

My pre approved cc was approved & virtual card given on 14 Nov & mail said it was active

I got my physical card on 17 Nov & set pin & limits but saw a number given to give missed call to activate

I did & today a person came for in person verification & said it would be activated in 1 hour from the time report submitted

But it's still showing dormant in mobile banking 

Is there any alternative way to activate hdfc cc?

I've never had any cc till date whose process to activate is so slow & old school

All of them I just needed to set pin & good to go

Please did any experience such slow activation process recently with hdfc?
