HDFC Credit Card Application Status changed to IN PROCESS from DECLINE after 3 weeks. WTF is happening

Guyz a month back i posted about my experience how my application was decline for Address Verification reason. I dont know why it happened because I personally attended AGENT who came to address for verification. I confirmed from HDFC Twitter support as well and they did say it has been declined. The Agent who applied my Application said same thing nothing can be done now and it is declined. Need to start afresh after 6 months. I made peace
Today some guy showed up for Address Verification. I thought since Application was DECLINED I told him same thing and sent him back. Then I checked application status, it changed back from DECLINE to IN PROCESS. WTF is happening. Why HDFC processing application in such a weird way. Now m afraid it will be decline again. Any help possible?? I fear it will be declined again because I told Agent its been declined no need. My bad...

This happened to me too after a few weeks.
HDFC bank is a bit weird in terms of CC. First they rejected my CC application, later I get a call for verification, I said my application is already rejected. Then they said your card is approved, this is the final verification call before dispatch. I called the person I had applied through, she was unreachable 😀
This incident happened almost a year ago.

I talked to Agent that applied for my Application and he seems to be as clueless as me.
