Earlier it was allowed by default

RBI asked all bank to let customer opt for it .else CC should not allow it and charge extra to customers .

HDFC charge for all cards except Infinia..so be careful

There will be overlimit charges 2.5% + GST when you cross above the credit limit and it's not possible to convert it into EMI. AFAIK, only Infinia allows NPSL(No Pre Set Limit) upto 50% of the credit limit. I've asked my RM about this and he said he will update me soon. Will update you soon.

Unless you really need it stay away from it or apply for other credit cards.
