You can write a mail and they will cancel the EMI.
Tbh the card is trash, I’ve had it before thinking I’ve never go over 10k and turns out I did go over 10k quite a lot.
Yeah… its the worst credit card from HDFC… converting all txns above 10k into EMI. I closed it and got Millennia.

You can’t disable auto-conversion to emi on this card for txns above 10k & that is why it is probably the worst debit card to take in India. Also smartbuy now effectively gives just around 2% on amazon gv purchase(2.5% commission+gst) so not much point in buying amazon gv via smartbuy gyftr now.

Do we have to again apply for new card or can ask customer care directly for another card?

Same reply I got from Twitter team
Have asked them to cancel emi after auto conversion
Actually I m carrying on this card as it gives 5% upto 750 on smartbuy + smartbuy Cashback
But this time by mistake I make a transaction of 10k for purchasing fk gvs.
It is good card as it gives 10% for smartbuy voucher purchase upto 1k as smartbuy have limit of 10k for fk gvs. Previously I used to purchase Amazon gvs but smartbuy sucks now
