Call the bank and they should be able to cancel the EMI. But I’m not sure if there is a way to disable this Auto conversion for future txns

You can’t disable auto-conversion to emi on this card for txns above 10k & that is why it is probably the worst debit card to take in India. Also smartbuy now effectively gives just around 2% on amazon gv purchase(2.5% commission+gst) so not much point in buying amazon gv via smartbuy gyftr now.

You can write a mail and they will cancel the EMI.

Tbh the card is trash, I’ve had it before thinking I’ve never go over 10k and turns out I did go over 10k quite a lot.

Yeah… its the worst credit card from HDFC… converting all txns above 10k into EMI. I closed it and got Millennia.

Do we have to again apply for new card or can ask customer care directly for another card?

But this time by mistake I make a transaction of 10k for purchasing fk gvs.
It is good card as it gives 10% for smartbuy voucher purchase upto 1k as smartbuy have limit of 10k for fk gvs. Previously I used to purchase Amazon gvs but smartbuy sucks now sob sob sob.
