I am going to open Preferred account with 2l initial deposit. What benefits should i care to confirm or negotiate?
My primary goals are zero MAB + free Debit Card.
Can they issue platinum easyshop debit card without fee for Preferred account?

They have full authority,
But for the first time, you have to fill out the form and sign it.
You can add your family member’s account as well in the same form that accounts also will be converted to preferred.

@nimod Go directly to the bank branch & ask them to convert your A/c to preferred. Condition is to have 2L balance in your account. It’s done manually & will reflect in a week’s time.
I did the same within 1 month of opening the classic account. Hope this helps!

have got an email for upgrade to classic banking and get free Visa platinum debit card
is the free upgrade on the basis of FD kept in the bank

What are the special benefits of classic banking ? Is it sure that they will downgrade of we don’t maintain Classic MAB of 1L? Happened with anybody? Is there any special benefit than preferred banking? Whats the difference b/w them?

They have the FD condition too for classic banking if one maintains 5L and above FD then they should not downgrade

Here’s my hdfc preferred journey.
visited local hdfc branch. Talked to lady tasked with new accounts. I straight away asked for preferred account, she said start with 2L.
I again visited with docs and cheque book. I handed her 3L cheque as she requested for higher initial amount. With the account opening form, i signed preferred upgrade form and the preferred accounts RM met me.
I received my account number about a week later, personalised kit took 3 more days. After 10 days, my account for upgraded to preferred.
Had to call few times to enquire about account opening and upgrade status.
I am going to apply for preferred branded platinum card.

No special benefit for “preferred branded card”, it is basically easyshop platinum card with just ’preferred" extra in its name(& a bit more lounges access). You can get easyshop platinum card free with 25k MAB max savings acc with no worries about downgrade. etc.

not sure what’s your question is, but hdfc securities is the trading platform, anyone can open their demat account.
But as far as I know their brokerage charges are higher than others like zerodha, so most people will probably like to keep away. However since it’s free, it might be good for occasional traders who just wants to park their stocks in some reliable demat account. Also have never faced any downtime, heard the same from some serious traders too.

I have HDFC salary account, It's upgraded to preferred banking status now.
Has it become Zero MAB account ?
Also I am planning to open Gold Speciale account, Whith initial deposit of 2 Lakh will my Gold Speciale account become Zero Balance account with LTF debit card?
And which Debit card will I get with the Gold Speciale account?
What is the main difference between Gold Speciale account and Preferred account.
