HDFC Preferred Account upgrade

I’ve got the regular account upgrade offer to Preferred account through whatsapp and it is also showing under offers in netbanking. Should I do it? Eligibility criteria says I have to maintain AMB 2 lacs but I can’t do that, in fact right now I only have 60K in my account and sometimes my balance goes down to minimum balance 10K.

Also under Fees & Charges it mentioned Charges on non Maintenance of minimum Balance in Savings Accounts is NIL so I am confused?

Please suggest me if I do upgrade or should I stay away?

I went through all the replies, but, I do not see any real benefit with classic upgrade.

You can go for classic upgrade. Its basically cherry on top. There is no charges if you don’t maintain any MAB. You will find CC upgrade offer little early than normal regular/salary account.

so how many days did it take to upgrade?? 30th november to ???

It was upgraded to 30th Nov night so that took 6 days.

Today my account relationship got downgraded from Classic to Standard don’t know why.my account balance was always >1.5L from last 2 months it was >2L I was hoping for upgrade to Preferred.

Any idea what might have happened @GuruGhantaal @prem4998

Same here. Got downgraded to standard. Just noticed it after your message. Talk to your RM. I will call mine now and update you.

Probably due to technical glitch I guess.

oh okay could be some year end glitch then stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye my RM was never that much helpful. I had sent an email to the classic banking mail id in the morning waiting for their reply. Let me know what your RM says pls.

Indeed a glitch on their end. He says that it maybe due to year end load that servers may behave like this. Also assured, downgrade won’t happen without prior notification. Issue will be resolved in 2 or 3 days as per his estimate.

if you have a credit card, just check once whether you got any limit upgrade offer today.
I had a upgrade offer after that this downgrade happened I guess.

For me I still see Preferred even though I didn’t maintained balance in Dec. I think you should mail to their grievance team.

Got the limit upgrade offer today.

account downgraded from classic to standard.

not sure about when did it happen. Noticed today only

I got a call from a different RM for the mail sent, he said he should be my RM as per the account branch but my relationship portfolio is assigned to some other RM so he is not able to check this and said he has to request for my portfolio transfer first and took my verbal consent for the same and also he mentioned the downgrade should not have happened just like that

Anybody got their account converted back to original (classic/preferred) account ?

Or it is the way now for hdfc ?
