Hi Dimers,

I would like to know what exactly makes the HDFC CC LTF using the SmartPay feature ? My SO got a pre-approved Regalia HDFC CC last month and she has added LIC as SmartPay to get it LTF; However the billing date of this LIC is next year only; so just adding an approved biller in smartpay is enough to get it converted or is the bill payment also needed ?

Monthly bills are preferred over yearly bills. For eg, monthly recurring UTILITY bills, Insurance policies with monthly premium payment option, monthly rent payments. Add atleast 1 monthly payment for consideration to LTF. Not very sure about Yearly bills are eligible for LTF. Other members can put focus on it.

LIC yearly bill is enough. You don’t need to pay anything through smartpay.

I also added yearly bill, and my card converted to LTF without any payment.

Smartpay must be active for 90days. And date will start 1st day for next month.

Confirmed from customer care both via email and call, the card status has been changed to Life time free! smile

Can we set Fastag to auto recharge? That would count for Smartpay?
