HDFC TATA Neu Credit Card NeuCoins Explained

I got my Tata Neu Card recently but was not able to find any thread with complete info on NeuCoins. So, after researching from various platforms, I am compiling complete info here.
Lets assume:
- Billing cycle = 11 Jan - 10 Feb
- Statement Generated on 11 Feb.
Tata Neu Infinity:
Tata Neu and partner brands: 5% NeuCoins (1.5% base + 3.5% bonus):
- 1.5% base NeuCoins will be credited within 7 days of current month statement generation (by 17 Feb)
- Rest 3.5% bonus NeuCoins credited within 7 days of next month statement generation (by 17 Mar)
All other spends: 1.5% Base NeuCoins credited within 7 days of current month statement generation (by 17 Feb)
UPI: 1.5% NeuCoins : (max 500 NeuCoins per calendar month)
- For UPI transactions settled in Current Calendar month (1 Jan - 31 Jan) will be credited within 7 days current month statement generation (by 17 Feb).
- For Transactions settled in current billing cycle (11 Jan - 10 Feb) but in next Calendar month (1 Feb - 28 Feb), say on 4 Feb will be will be credited within 7 days next month statement generation (by 17 Mar).
- Settled transactions of full calendar month are added up and 1.5% is calculated of this cumulative, not of individual transactions.
So, statement generated on 11 Feb will have these NeuCoins:
- 1.5% base NeuCoins + 3.5% previous billing cycle (11 Dec - 10 Jan) bonus NeuCoins + 1.5% calendar month (01 Jan - 31 Jan) UPI NeuCoins.
- These NeuCoins will be credited to Tata Neu app within 7 days of statement generation.
- NeuCoins are calculated and posted on nearest round integer, for example Rs 140 transaction will be calculated as (140*1% = 1.4 NeuCoins = 1 NeuCoin (round to nearest integer
Tata Neu Plus:

- 1% base NeuCoins will be credited within 7 days of current month statement generation (by 17 Feb)
- Rest 1% bonus NeuCoins credited within 7 days of next month statement generation (by 17 Mar)

Categories not eligible for Neu Coins: Rent, Wallet, Fuel, Govt, Smart EMI (non merchant EMI)

Pre requisite - u must be an existing hdfc card holder.
Trick - u need to fill urself as an tcs employee and they will offer u (98% case) ltf card.
Note - if u are not an existing hdfc customer then they will check for details and cancel ur application, this works only for existing hdfc customers .
Neu plus or infinity will depend on ur salary/credit limit, if slaary above 6l they will offer infinity else plus.
Ps - try at ur own risk.
Better way and my suggestion too- get fyf offer with ur genuine details and just send a mail to customer care after 1st bill clearance to make it ltf, they will (95%) make it ltf.

spend Neu Coins, your validity extend by a year. If you have 500 Neu Coins now that you earned 2 months ago, and do a shopping of 100 today, then your entire
Neu Coins would be valid for a year from now.

Yes, we are getting on this merchant if it's not under Fuel, wallet, etc

I heard that they are blocking the coins usage if you buy big amount electronic items for consecutive months and using your card in different tata Neu account.

OP, the post would have benefited from also explaining how and where you can use NeuCoins. I believe you can use them only on the Tata Neu app except for recharges / bill payments (sadly). Thus, if you are not into any of the Tata brands then the Tata Neu cards are useless for you. Otherwise, they are the #1 recommendation for a RuPay CC on UPI card.

Yes, education spends are eligible for Neu Coins only if it is not under govt MCC.
my statement is showing rewards against UPI transaction as 0, is it normal and points will be credit or not?
Was this your first statement? If yes, when was the bill generated? When was first upi transaction done, before 30 Nov or after 30 Nov?

Luckily my billing date is 1st of the month so no worries on this. Both base and bonus tataneu coins are credited together for me .
